I’m always on the lookout for great book recommendations, new products to try and reminders of the staples that help to keep my life healthy and balanced.
So I thought I’d start sharing some of the things I’ve been loving each month.
1. Coconut Oil I mean really, what can’t you do with this? This has become my number one go to for both food and beauty needs. It’s great as a moisturizer, does wonders for your hair, and is a must have in the kitchen. I LOVE making my popcorn with coconut oil…so much tastier (and healthier). If you haven’t tried this, run, don’t walk to your nearest store! Any other devotees of coconut oil out there? What’s your favorite use for it?
2. Winter veggies I like to stick with what’s in season. Sweet potatoes, butternut squash, acorn squash….all delicious and nutritious. Roasting is my go to. Drizzle some olive oil and a few spices and bamm! (that’s a pic of me unloading my groceries last week) Would love to hear your favorite recipes for winter veg!
3. Girlfriend time I can never let me schedule get too busy to neglect girlfriend time. This is a sanity saver! (that’s a pic of my and one of my dearest gal pals, Liz after lunch. -A lunch with Liz ALWAYS makes me laugh and keeps me centered. When was the last time you had some girlfriend time?
4. Mind Over Medicine by Dr. Lissa Rankin I am absolutely in love with this book. I have been recommending it to almost everyone I talk to. I even convinced my hubby to read it so we could discuss. This book is chock full of eye opening information and a remarkable testament of how powerful our thoughts are in creating our health. What’s been your favorite read this month?
Just making the list helps me to give gratitude for not just the big things, like friendships, but the little things like a hot bowl of freshly popped popcorn made with coconut oil.
And according to Dr. Rankin, GRATITUDE is key!
Now it’s YOUR turn. What have you been loving this month?
