Is this stay at home/work at home, thing getting old?
Yeah, me too.
Since Valentine’s Day is around the corner (even though it may feel more like Groundhog Day!), I thought it might be time to give YOURSELF some love.
I invite you to do one thing that makes you feel beautiful today.
Perhaps it’s a new lipstick (or simply wearing lipstick) or donning a favorite pair of cool shoes just because. It could be something in your closet that you break out for no reason, instead of throwing on the usual sweatpants or jeans since no one can see your lowerhalf on Zoom.
Put on a cute sweater that you were saving for a date night (remember those?); perk up the outfit with your favorite earrings; forgo your usual ponytail and use the curling iron for a few extra swirls; wear makeup if you usually skip it; or maybe use a spritz of perfume if that’s your jam (What? On a weekday? At home?).
Many non-grooming things can definitely make us feel beautiful, like dancing and dripping in sweat.
Small seemingly inconsequential changes can alter how we show up in the world (even if only on Zoom). When we’re feeling beautiful we are more apt to exude our own personal power as well.
