This morning I am scrolling through my feed seeing photos of friends’ Paris moments.
The last time I was in Paris I boarded my flight to NYC on the morning of September 11, 2001.
There was no Facebook back then to keep us informed or connected.
But there was that same feeling of solidarity that immediately emerged. Unity – us against the bad guys.
There were prayers of healing and peace. There were flags flying. And there was a more compassionate tide that washed over us, evidenced in the way we lent a helping hand or offered up an extra bit of kindness.
Today as we pray for peace, let us intentionally continue the quest for compassion and kindness among our fellow man, long after the FB photos and flag infused profile pics subside.
God Bless everyone.
