I hope you are staying warm and dry with all the crazy weather we have been having. Add in the Full Moon and Mercury Retrograde…and yowza, what a ride we are currently on!
I don’t know about you, but protecting my energy lately is a top priority.
I’ve been doing some saging, a lot of epsom salt baths and plenty of essential oils.
While we can’t change the astrological and lunar happenings, we can work to care for our energy, and when necessary, shield, ourselves as well.
This week I wanted to share this tidbit I read in the Daily Om about protecting overselves from taking on negative energy from people or situations:
While it is important to know how to shield yourself from energy, there are those energies that you may not want to shut out. The energy of laughter from a newborn baby, the feeling of joy radiating from someone in love, and the frequency of calm emanating from an enlightened teacher are just some of the energies coming from others that you may want to have around you.
I invite you to begin by siimply tuning in.
Ask yourself: Does this (person, place, activity, etc.) GIVE me energy, or DRAIN my energy?
Then you can begin to look at the things that give you energy and say “more of that please!”
And those things that drain your energy? It’s time to let some of that $%&* go!
