October has been a whirlwind month so far and has already been chock full of amazing opportunities and new connections.
Among the highlights was speaking at the Open Center in NYC on Friday night.
I’d always wanted to go there and have been getting the catalogue for years.
So it was exciting that my first visit there was as a speaker.
It was a fun and informative evening and as soon as it was over I zipped out planning to make a bee line for the 9:30 pm train.
Then I changed my mind.
I decided to go out and celebrate.
Heck, I was in NYC right!?!?
I stopped at a cozy wine bar and enjoyed these absolutely delicious shrimp (YUM!), and a lovely glass of Chardonnay. By myself.
I sat quietly and enjoyed my meal and reflected on all the incredible blessings blossoming in my life.
I celebrated what I had just accomplished (gotta admit I was a little nervous and intimidated being in a line up which included a bunch of docs).
I took a few moments to savor and celebrate.
I am very quick to move on from one challenge or accomplishment to the next. I don’t usually take the time to reflect, and I definitely don’t take the time to celebrate…especially when it means taking a later train and getting home way past my bed time!.
I am SO glad I celebrated. I reveled in it (did I mention the shrimp were phenomenal?).
I really need to stop and celebrate more often.
I hope you pause and celebrate something today.
