I’m a little tired today. I almost pushed this into tomorrow, which is no big deal of course, but I realized maybe there is a message
Yesterday a project that I’ve been working on for a couple of months came to fruition, the HAYVN Health Summit. I am currently managing several initiatives for HAYVN, a local coworking community, and this one was a big project.
Of course, “teamwork makes the dreamwork,” and I didn’t do it alone, but it did consume a lot of my time, energy and focus of late.
I’m thrilled to report it was an enormous success.
When I got home last night, what did I do?
Ok, I did have a nice dinner, a glass of wine and curled up in my pjs to watch Bachelor in Paradise (don’t judge!).
While watching some T.V., I also made a long list of things to do today. There have been a bunch of things that got pushed to the back burner while I was in the throes of this project.
The list was LONG.
Today I received many texts and messages congratulating me on the event and often with messages like – I hope you’re celebrating…or resting…or feeling proud, or something similar.
What was I actually doing? Working on what’s next.
I wasn’t really taking time to:
- Feel the accomplishment and celebrate it
- REST and recover before jumping into the next thing
So, I’m taking this to heart. After I hit send, I’ll be doing both of the above-mentioned activities , but mostly resting, and then meeting three of my favorite friends for dinner.
What can you take time to sit in before moving forward?
