I posted these thoughts on my social media feed afterwards and I am still ruminated about the messages in the movie, so I thought I’d share them here as well.
The documentary did not disappoint. I walked away inspired and wishing I had had a pen and paper to take notes.
A few highlights for me…
- Set your goals. Put voice to them. You will NEVER hit your target if you don’t know what it is. I’ve set some lofty goals the last two years and have missed the mark on some of them, but I’m a heck of a lot closer. I was a bit gun shy this year to create big ones again, for fear I won’t make it. Her words definitely pushed me to go for it.
- Keep the ONE thing the ONE thing. She reinforced how utterly critical is it to keep your focus narrow. You CAN do all the things, but NOT all at once. Choose wisely. This has been a tough one for me lately. The fresh feeling of the New Year has got me all jazzed up and ready to tackle a TON of good stuff. I find this to also be true for me in the area of personal development. There are so many workshops, challenges, programs and lions and tigers and bears, oh my! But Ms. Rachel has got it right. Do them all and you won’t do any well. I’ll have her voice in my ear this month to help me maintain my focus.
- Finally, (well not really, there is SO much more, but hey I’m trying to maintain focus here)….You are ALREADY enough. You get to choose what kind of life you have. It’s already within you. So in this hype of New Year, New You…..how about SAME YOU, NEW MOOD? And choose carefully, ok?
Can’t wait to hear her in person at our doTERRA Essential Oils Leadership Retreat in March!
