I remember watching Gilda Radner on Saturday Night Live as a kid. Her frizzy hair do stood out to me, maybe because it somewhat resembled my own 70’s locks, as did her lamented whiny cry that “it’s always something!”
We all know people who voice that attitude OFTEN, and I believe ALL of us share Roseanne’s sentiment on some days.
I know that’s a bit how the last year (and the last week) has felt for me.
That’s when I rely on the love and support of friends and family, as well as all the healthy habits and an attitude adjustment to help me hang in there.
I suppose I COULD let it ‘always be something’ today, or I could take a deep breath and remember a quote a dear friend sent me recently:
Believe it or not, if it weren’t for your so-called issues, problems, and challenges, there’d be no other way you could become even happier, cooler, and more enlightened than you have ever been before. Amen.
Tallyho,
The Universe
Yep, that sums it up. So instead I’ll focus on being happier, cooler and more enlightened every time I overcome another obstacle. And of course, be eternally grateful that I outgrew the Rosanne Rosannadanna hair style…well kinda.
