Noticing the signs

Blog Post

Last night I hosted a “Crossing Over” evening with some friends.  Think Long Island Medium, without the crazy nails and helmet hair do.

I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I went in with an open mind and open heart.  Rita and Ro delivered beyond expectations.

I won’t go into the specific details of the evening, they are probably best kept private out of respect for my fellow guests, but we laughed a lot and cried even more.

Irrespective of  skepticism, or religious/spiritual views, there was a more universal message about tuning into the signs.  They are ALWAYS around us.  Not just signs that loved ones are still with us in spirit, but also signs from our own intuition.  When we are making a decision or a choice, our intuition, (you know that feeling in your gut that we sometimes ignore), can provide us with invaluable guidance, reassurance, or comfort.

I, for one, have a tendency to over think things.  I often spend so much energy racking my brain over a problem, decision, or conversation, that I can easily miss the signs that are right in front of my face.

This morning as I continued to debrief the experience with the others, I received this quote in my weekly Marie T.V. email    “Clarity comes from engagement, not thought.” @MarieForleo

Clarity, which I think was served up in spades for some last night, did not come from reliving an experience or ruminating on a regret. Clarity came from simply allowing.  Clarity came from the willingness and the engagement of each person present.  Clarity was found by opening up to the energy and holding the space for whatever was needed.

In the end, it was an evening of pure love and healing.

Keep your eye out for the signs, and trust that you will see them clearly.

PS That pic is a strong and loud sign that I received recently without fully understanding it.  When I took the photo this morning, I knew everything would be okay.
