Last week I had the honor of participating in a teleclass led by Dr. Sean Stephensen. He has overcome incredible odds and has dedicated his life to inspiring others. I highly recommend checking out his “dance party” if you want a pick me up.
One of the concepts Dr Sean spoke of was his “Making Life Work” list. I’ve done a similar exercise for years and find that it definitely, as suggested, makes my life work.
He recommends creating a list of about 16 items that help you look, feel your best – things that make your life work.
For example, your list might include activities like regular exercise, eight hours of sleep, drinking plenty of water, or such things as reading, engaging in a favorite hobby, or volunteering.
Dr. Sean makes sure that he is doing at least FOUR activities on that list EVERY day.
Personally, I’ve created daily, weekly, monthly and annual lists. Yes, I’m well aware that I’m super anal! But it works for me. I revise this list each year when I go on my two day retreat to Kripalu (which by the way is on my annual list).
I find when I’m living in sync with my lists, life works pretty darn well, and even when huge curve balls come along, I’m less likely to become derailed with the yucky stuff of life when I revisit the list.
So what’s on your list?
PS This photo was taken at Saturday’s Reiki Share at the Bloodroot restaurant in Bridgeport. Making sure I engage in energy work (either giving OR receiving) makes my monthly list. And being able to do it in a beautiful setting, followed by a delicious lunch, with soul-centered people..well that’s just icing on the vegan cake!
