Kind of an Important Anniversary

Uncategorized

1 Sep

Yesterday marked the ninth anniversary of a big change for me, although it’s not one that I typically pause to reflect on or celebrate.alt text

These days, however, bring a lot of reflection and it just struck me when I looked at the calender.

August 31, 2013 I closed the doors on my beautiful Jazerecise Fitness Center. It was a long time dream that evolved over my 23 years as a Jazzercise Franchise Owner. It was full of ups and downs, but I wouldn’t trade the experience or the relationships for the world! Here’s a pic of my mom and me on closing day that my iPhone reminded me of.

It was big for me at the time, and was a decision that was about two years in the making, driven by a wide variety of factors.

I didn’t have much of a plan for what followed (and being an avid planner, that felt uncomfortable).  My top priority, and only agenda, was to have my fourth surgery (another real biggie) and to give myself time to rest and heal.

That’s not the kind of plan I’m very good at.  Give me a well crafted goal, a timeline or a checklist and I’m all in.  But this was different.

I had to create a brand new rhythm in my life, not to mention in my body, and ultimately in my work.  I had no idea what that would look like.

It truly was a process that required a new mindset and energy, how I operated on the inside needed to shift.

It required external adjustments as well, in terms of how I would spend my time and what kind of support I would need in my environment.

Finding this new rhythm took time and has taken on a variety of twists and turns over the years.

For about a year following this decision I was sort of wandering around as far as work goes.  I expanded my work as a MELT Method practitioner, took on a 15 month consulting gig as Chief Operating Office of a new wellness concept business that I helped to bring to fruition, and began playing wih essential oils.

These elements evolved and I began to work with other women, often but not always, entrepreneurs coaching them to find the right rhythm for themselves in their businesses.

The thread that connects these areas of my work has been about finding a brand new rhythm for your day, your body, your business and your life.

I don’t know about you, but I have felt particularly derailed these last two years months.  Out of sync. Out of step.

I also know that I have trusted tools, practices and rituals that have always helped me to find my rhythm again.

We don’t know what lies ahead for the rest of this year.   There’s much we don’t have control of.  But we DO have control of our choices, what we put into our minds, how we activate or ground our energy, how we spend our time and the environment, including the people, we surround ourselves with.

That’s why I’m lauching an intimate women’s circle (space is VERY limite) to connect and explore the rhythms we create in our mindset, energy, schedules, relationships and more.

We’ll gather weekly for six weeks to enjoy support, education and connection, and each participant will receive private coaching as well.

If this resonates, let’s talk.  While I often work with entrepreneurial women, you don’t have to be a business owner (or even aspire to be one) to join this group.
