It’s ok. BUT!

Wow what a week!  At Halo we hosted the MMRF (Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation) Pep Rally last Sunday, followed by a jam packed Earth Day (totally loving my bee pollen from Sweet Pea Farms), and culminating in Community Day on Saturday which was full of energy and fun.  Add in my MELT workshops and private clients, subbing at Jazzercise, and the usual commitments and activities that fill up a week….and whew!  I was surprised I was still standing by the end of the week, but barely.  In spite of all of these events, I did my best to get all my workouts in, and even squeezed in a night out with the girls. Frankly, those were the things that kept me sane.  But I’ll admit I was still overwhelmed.

I’m pleased to report the week was a success.  Here’s my colleague Cobie and I taking a moment for a photo opp with New Canaan First Selectman Robert E. Mallozzi III.

With such a packed schedule, a few things fell by the way side, like promoting some of my upcoming InterPlay Health programs, following up with my doTerra team and my laundry.  That is frustrating to me, but I decided that IT IS OK.

It is okay to focus on putting extra effort into a project or task to do it well.  But, it is just as important to regroup as soon as it is finished.  For me regroup meant to cancel my Sunday plans for brunch in NYC (hated to miss seeing those pals), and to instead rest, practice yoga, straighten up my house and spend time with family.

It’s okay to put in additional hours, BUT it’s essential to recognize that it’s time to get off the proverbial treadmill, although in our case it’s often the literal treadmill, and rejuvenate.

On a personal note, I was honored to be in attendance at the Piano Bar at the Ridgefield Theater Barn on Saturday night to witness my dear friend Rick propose to his lovely girlfriend Stephanie.   It’s always special when good things happen to good people. We were surrounded by friends and incredible music which was another key ingredient in my efforts to unwind. Oh, and she said yes. 🙂

PS And if YOU are in need of some rejuvenation check out  Spring Sparkle! A Half Day Retreat for Women Celebrating Your Inner Goddess coming Sunday, May 3st at the Redding Meditation Center/  Email info@interplayhealth.com to reserve one of the limited spots.
