And here’s why.
I’ve only been “in the business” of essential oils for just over two years now. But I was introduced to them four years ago. I didn’t know much about them, but I did know something needed to change.
At that time, I was taking at least one Advil, if not more, a day due to chronic pain from over exercising and injuries. My annual cold required stocking up on Sudafed, and occasionally I’d dig out the Ambien when my insomina and stress got to be too much.
I’d been told I had “Silent Reflux” (which I still don’t really understand) and that I’d need to be on medication for the rest of my life, followed by a thyroid problem which would also require lifelong medication.
And this is not counting the three major surgeries I had in the space of 18 months.
Honestly, I forgot what it felt like to feel good. Feeling exhausted, crappy, stressed and in chronic pain was my new normal.
On top of this I was a fitness professional!
What the heck?!? I felt like my body betrayed me, and that just made me angrier and full of shame.
When I was introduced to these products, I figured I didn’t have anything to lose.
The products in this Daily Health Habits Challenge are ones I use EVERY DAY (although I’ll say my pain is SO much better now that I do not need the Deep Blue Rub every day).
That’s why I’m excited that they’ve created this challenge.
It’s become a lifestyle for me.
I have been able to avoid going on any medication and I feel MUCH MUCH better at 52 than I did at 48.
We KNOW that the body heals itself. We just often get in it’s way. Supplements and essential oils simply provide the right environment for the body to work it’s magic. And sometimes medications ARE necessary.
In the past four years, I have not taken a single Advil or ANY other OTC or prescription drug…except when I had a root canal that went awry. Believe me, I was pretty bummed to break my streak, but I also know that eastern/western, alternative/traditional can coexist happily.

PSS FULL disclosure, there are additional things I did to get back on track. For example, daily green juices do WONDERS for reflux, and I’ve reduced my stress level a lot with more balanced choices…..but you gotta start somewhere!
