Emotions have been running particularly high the last week.
Whether it’s elation, disappointment, confusion, frustration, celebration, anger, anxiety, or something else….it’s a lot to process.
We cannot control the world around us, but we can choose how we will respond to the events, circumstances and people we encounter (in real life AND online).
Often, we go into a default mode of reflecting back whatever we receive. Praising and blessing those who bless us and criticizing and judging those who criticize or disagree with us.
But the blessings and criticisms of others have very little to do with us. We do ourselves and others a disservice when we take their words and actions personally. I get it, it’s SO hard not to.
I’ve seen so many who feel compelled to judge everything others do and say (I have felt it myself), and to criticize everything we might disagree with.
This constant judgment undermines our ability to act with kindness and gratitude.
It’s important to feel all the feelings, and to process in a safe environment where you are met with compassion.
I started my day with a nature walk and meditation with a group of lovely women. It felt amazing.
Surround yourself with love and kindness today.
Sending you love,
