Wishing all the dads a BIG Happy Father’s Day today.
Not sure what’s on our agenda to celebrate today, as my hubby is pretty low key about those things. For several years a trip to the Beardsley Zoo was the tradition to mark the occasion. One year when rain thwarted the zoo visit, a good action guy flick became the new practice. We’ll see what today unfolds. He is the most patient and thoughtful fathers on the planet. Happy Father’s Day Rich!
It has been a blessing (and to be honest a bit of a surprise) to watch my brother Tom grow into fatherhood to his sons Landon and Chase. Who would have thought the kid that went through the Terrible Two’s for eighteen years, cheated at Magnificent Race, and threw himself on the pitchers mound when calls didn’t go his way, would grow up to be the brightest, hardworking, most dedicated dad I know. Happy Father’s Day Tom!
Today’s one of those many days when I miss my own dad a bit more. This year marked the 20 year anniversary of his passing. You can read more about that here. He was the liveliest, most charismatic dad I could have every asked for. Happy Father’s Day Dad! Miss you.
Whatever you choose do for the men in your life (as men can ‘father’ in many ways – biological or otherwise)….
Have a copasetic day! (Now THAT is truly a Tom Hallett (Sr.) word!).
