An acquaintance on Facebook posted this today (thanks Valerie Foster). She said that she saw it on the sidewalk outside of a restaurant last night.
It was just what I needed to hear.
Our brain is more likely to focus on what you are frequently repeating to yourself, than what you are not.
My brain has been on a, let’s say, less than desirable, loop the past few days.
We know that this is one of the ways that our brain creates its own reality, so I’m aware that I wasn’t doing myself any favors staying in this loop. I also know it’s incredibly important to process all emotions and I had some strong emotions that needed to get out.
So I leave you with this thought today.
Feel the feelings, then for just a moment, choose a better feeling thought, appreciate something and smile.
