Eleven years ago, after leaving my corporate career and teaching Jazzercise in a church hall for sixteen years, I knew it was time for something bigger. I had a vision of opening a Center and creating a team to Jazzercise, health and wellness information and inspiration to women in a bigger way.
It was a scary move, especially as a single woman at the time with a Fairfield County mortgage, but sometimes you have to take a leap of faith. The results were far beyond my wildest dreams and I couldn’t be more proud or humbled by the success of this Center.
I recognize it is now time for another leap of faith, and I have decided not to renew the lease on Hope Street and will be closing the Jazzercise Fitness Center of Stamford effective August 31st. I had initially considered this decision two years ago, but I knew in my heart it wasn’t time yet. There is a lot of value in listening to your gut. Now I know it is the right timing and I am ready for the next chapter whatever that may be.
I’m pleased that Jazzercise will continue in Stamford under the direction of Lori Kremidas. The new schedule will begin Tues., Sept. 3rd at BreakThru Fitness at 48 Union Street in Stamford (not far from where we are currently located!). For details on the new location, schedule, or your membership (which will automatically continue) you can contact Lori at stamfordjazzercise@gmail.com. I look forward to joining you on the new dance floor soon.
Initially, I will be taking time off to take care of some health issues. Then you may still see me on the Jazzercise stage. I’ll be exploring other options as well, so stay tuned! After all, once you give a gal a microphone, well, she just doesn’t give it up too easily. I will continue hosting A Matter of Balance on FTNS, coaching on healthy living, writing for fitness websites, and selling supplements.
To keep up to date on what’s brewing in my business stay connected with me through Facebook and Twitter and www.interplayhealth.com , or of course, go old school and shoot me an email or pick up the phone to say hello.
For the first time in 25 years I will begin creating space for whatever comes next, both a terrifying and exhilarating place to be.
I look forward to sharing new endeavors as they develop and continuing my mission of inspiring women to better health.
I will be celebrating this change with a 90 minute class on Hope Street on Sat., Aug. 31st at 9 am (one class only that day).
I have deep gratitude for the women I have worked with over the years, and I have learned profound lessons from each of them.
And to every customer that has graced our dance floor, I’m blessed to have served you. Thank you for sharing your magnificence, brilliance and uniqueness with me.
Keep on dancing,
Kristen
