Hey friends,
Welcome to December…a fresh new month, and the final chapter of the epic 2020 experience.
I’ve started to look ahead to 2021 to create new routines in my life, programs in my business, and an overall fresh start.
But the fact of the matter is, 2021 may look a lot like 2020, at least for a while.
It’s how we step into it that matters.
The year ahead will call upon us to access more creativity, ingenuity and compassion than ever before.
Only this time we can be better prepared.
Over the weekend I attended my first Zoom wedding. I wasn’t sure what to expect, and to be honest I initially didn’t have high expectations about how such a sacred experience would translate through the internet.
I knew however, that if anyone could make it work, these two women could. And they hit out of the park.
I laughed, I cried, and even danced. (This little guy was in the processional – So darn cute)
When these women met and fell in love, marriage wasn’t an option. It’s a new world now.
When the wedding plans of thousands this year had to be re-imagined, virtual weddings weren’t yet “a thing.” It’s a different scene now.
I recently read that novelist Arundhati Roy claims that this pandemic offers us an opportunity….
“We can choose to walk through it, dragging the carcasses of our prejudice and hatred, our avarice, our data banks and dead ideas…Or we can walk through lightly, with little luggage, ready to imagine another world. And ready to fight for it.”
I am choosing to imagine another world and I’m ready to fight for it.
How about you?
Be well,
Kristen
