I’m constantly finding inspiration for journaling all over the place. Recently while reviewing some old journal entries from a couple of years ago, I came across a journaling exercise to list 50 positive things about myself, beginning with I am……I vaguely recollect writing this list, but did not make note of where I got the idea.
Since I am my own worst critic, the one thing I do remember is that it was a challenge for me. I mean, fifty??
I was pleasantly surprised to read it, and even a little humbled. Yes, I wrote it, but so often I criticize myself and focus on all the things I am not.
I challenge you to make your own list.
Fifty. That’s 5-0, positive things that you love about yourself.
I debated about posting my list here, but decided to up the ante and make this challenge a bit more fun.
If you show me yours, I’ll show you mine. Deal?
You ARE amazing. You ARE enough. Now put pen to paper (or fingers to the keyboard) and make your list.
You can always look back on it on those days when you need a lift, especially of you’re feeling less than successful, beautiful or useful.
And fill in the blanks.
